Shibuya

Today I wanted to look for a shop that sold Japanese baseball merchandise, so I asked the front desk where I might find that sort of thing. They recommended either shops outside the Tokyo Dome where I think the Giants play, or a department store called Keio in Shinjuku. I went to Shinjuku since it seemed a little easier.



At the store I picked out some cool stuff, but I wanted to pay with credit card to preserve the limited amount of cash I have, but paying with American credit cards is a little hit-or-miss in Japan. They had to call up Visa Japan, which then had to call Visa America, and I had to talk with the lady on the phone and answer some personal questions, and then they let it through. The lady said she would make a note that I was in Japan, but the funny thing is I've been using my credit card to pay for train tickets since before I even got to Kanazawa months ago, but Visa was apparently unaware I'm in Japan.



After that, I went to Akihabara again to check out their used game collection. They had a lot of neat Famicom (NES) stuff, so I picked up some of that. After I got back, I was a little tired, so I took a nap, and then went to Shibuya.

Shops

Shibuya is a hugely popular place for young people in Japan, and there's a lot of trendy fashion shops. There was a big intersection outside the train station that I took a picture of from the second floor of a department store starbucks.

After all the trains today I'm a bit tired, so that'll be it for today.
